Associate Creative Director

For 20 years Shutterfly has inspired customers to be creative and share memories through their customized products and services. A Silicon Valley company that had the foresight to know digital photos would be an important characteristic of our culture. I was hired to manage and lead a team that focused on new digital creative initiatives with the challenge of reaching new audiences and how to story tell an established brand. Like most corporate companies, processes tend to get inflated and I saw my first task was to improve the efficiency of the creative process and teaching my team to all think like consultants. Primary responsibilities were people management and driving content creation with the areas of focus as social media, display, video, and multi-channel brand campaigns.

Key Projects:

• Lead content creation for social media (Facebook with over 3 million followers, Instagram 160K)

• Manage a team of 6 copywriters, designers, and external display agency.

• Lead design for new content marketing site, Ideas & Inspiration.

• On-boarded and managed new animation agency.

• Improve design standards and process efficiency by implementing new meeting structures, creative check ins, and templatized kit for design requests.

• Improve collaborative and transparency with business partners and cross functional teams.

• Manage and nurture a team of 6 on the social media and integrated marketing team.

• Creative Direct & present seasonal brand style guides.

• Created best practices for social media.

• Concept, pitch, and execute seasonal brand videos and campaigns
